IMPRODOVA at France24

The French TV station France24 broadcasts each Friday a program called “The 51 Percent”. Hosted by Annette Young, the programs topics are women’s rights and women who are reshaping the world of today. On Friday, 30.08.2019 at 4:40 pm Paris time our coordinator Prof. Dr. Joachim Kersten spoke about femicides, domestic abuse and the IMPRODOVA project. The topic domestic abuse was chosen by France24 as a special issue in view of the French governments upcoming dedicated meeting on domestic violence and femicides in France on Sept 3rd 2019.
Can Britain's MARACs be exported to other countries?

Researching interagency cooperation with its opportunities and challenges is the main focus of IMPRODOVA. In this regard, Jean-Marc Jaffré discusses the cooperation in British MARACs and draws conclusions for potential adaption of the MARAC approach to the French situation.

IMPRODOVA’s 3rd Consortium Meeting in Edinburgh, Scotland

Our third Consortium Meeting started out with a visit of one of Police Scotland’s three control rooms observing the ‘journey of a DV call’. Partners were able to witness first-hand the gold standard of a response to a DV call and make comparisons between the different partner countries within IMPRODOVA.

Round Table in Berlin

In Berlin, the "Round Table Berlin - Health Care for Domestic and Sexual Violence" began its work at the Senate for Health, Care and Equality. The office of the Berlin Round Table is located at S.I.G.N.A.L. e.V. The Berlin police also took part and presented the IMPRODOVA project.
2nd Consortium Meeting in Vienna, Austria

The second Consortium Meeting was held in Vienna under the motto ‚contextualising and exploring the frontline response'. On the premises of the Federal Ministry of Interior (BMI), close to the historic downtown of Vienna, the project members spent two days of intensive discussions.
28/8/2018 University of Glasgow became official Partner of IMPRODOVA

Our Amendment request re: University of Glasgow has been evaluated by the Commission. The decison has been made to accept the changes we have requested. Our new Scottish partner, the University of Glasgow UOG, with colleagues Professor Michele Burman and Dr. Oona Brooks, have been welcomed by the coordinator on behalf of the IMPRODOVA Steering Board and consortium. The official start of Glasgow as our consortium partner is of August 1st, 2018.
