Bundesministerium für Inneres (BMI)
The Austrian Federal Ministry of the Interior (Bundesministerium für Inneres, BMI) is responsible for safeguarding the internal security of Austria. It covers a broad range of tasks e. g. all police issues, the criminal intelligence service , the agency for state protection and counter terrorism, disaster management, asylum and residence policies, administrative coordination of federal election, fight against corruption and others.
